What a beautiful morning at our EJH! ❤️ We are so grateful for the amazing turnout of students, staff, parents, and community members who gathered together for fellowship, worship, and prayer.

A special shoutout to the students who stepped up to lead us in prayer and song, & to our NJHS leaders who jumped in without hesitation to serve and lead. We are so proud of you!

Thank you to JP Strickland for sharing our devotion and to First Baptist Church for blessing our students with donuts after our time together. 🍩

There is something so beautiful about our JH and community coming together in prayer. What a blessing this morning was! ❤️🙏

Making math review a little more FUN! 🧦🤪 Ms. Spree’s 7th graders had a blast playing Stinky Feet while reviewing fractional rates….and the classroom competition was REAL! 👣🔥 Nothing like a little friendly competition to make learning fun! ➗💙

Putting chemistry to work! 🧪 Last week, our 8th grade students investigated the hidden chemistry in everyday household materials. Using litmus paper, they measured pH levels to classify items as acids or bases. Proud of their hard work and analytical thinking in the lab! 🔬👏

Edna Junior High will host a Title 1 meeting at 5:30 immediately following the PTO meeting in the JH library. Come check out the PTO and stay to learn about Title 1 funding!!!

Due to the change in venue for the football game against Industrial, EJHS will be cancelling tomorrow's pep rally. Our next pep rally will be September 24, 2026. GO RUSTLERS and LADY RUSTLERS!!!

Getting down to the basics! 📏⚖️ Today in 8th grade science, students took on our metric measurement lab. Learning proper lab procedures and handling equipment correctly for length, mass, and volume is step one to an awesome, hands-on school year!

So proud of our Edna Junior High NJHS students for the incredible way they’ve already shown up this year! 👏💙 From giving campus tours & jumping in wherever help was needed, to bringing the fun at our annual EISD Back to School Rally with face painting 🎨…they truly made a difference!

Face painting is always a crowd favorite, & this crew did not disappoint! Their leadership, kindness, & willingness to serve set the tone for an amazing year ahead. I’m so proud of each and every one of them and can’t wait to see all they accomplish this year!

We are about to begin the process of replacing the track here at Cowboy Memorial Stadium. The company is wrapping up another job and should arrive in Edna any day now. We will have to close down the stadium to the public while the construction is going on. Thank you for your understanding & cooperation.

Science came to life last week in 7th grade! 🦋🔬 Over the past two weeks, students have been learning about inheritance and changes in populations, and last week they wrapped it all up with a fun butterfly scavenger hunt! Students had the opportunity to observe real butterflies up close and identify variations in their traits — including different colors, patterns, sizes, and even behaviors. Hands-on learning like this helps students connect classroom concepts to the real world in such a fun and memorable way! Great job to all of our young scientists for their observations and discoveries today! 🦋✨

Happy National Speech Language Pathologist Day! Edna ISD is proud to celebrate our incredible SLPs and the vital support they provide to our students. 🗣️💙 Thank you for helping every student find their voice!

Our 7th graders spent the last two weeks prepping for the professional world. From writing their first resumes to practicing high-stakes interview questions, they’ve put in the work—and it showed!

They showed up dressed for success and were ready to shine for our guest interviewers. We couldn’t be prouder of their growth!

🙌 Huge shoutout to the community members who volunteered to mentor our students and to Mrs. Schilling for planning such a great, real-life experience for our students! We appreciate you all!
